Job Description

Project Coordinator

Maintain a clean, safe, fast, friendly, and fun environment for all guests, team members and company assets.  The focus shall always be on ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while maintaining a positive can do attitude with an emphasis on the highest level of guest service for both external and internal guests to Maryland Live.



The Project Coordinator will be actively engaged in creating and managing a multi-tiered, dynamic project list for activities associated with the development, construction and opening of two casinos in Pennsylvania. The role of the Project Coordinator will be to ensure all steps of the project are documented, accountabilities and deadlines assigned, and outcomes documented. 



·     Must make the property shine and look impeccable while maintaining a neat, CLEAN and crisp personal appearance.


·     Must make guests feel SAFE and comfortable through creating a worry-free, carefree experience.


·     Provide FAST and efficient service with accuracy.  Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs.


·     Greet guest with FRIENDLY welcomes, making eye contact and smiling.  Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guests concerns.  Say thank you to departing guests.


·     Work passionately as a team to create a FUN experience both for everyone who works and plays here.




·     Drives standards and methodologies for project delivery and management; ensures methodologies promote quality deliverables in an efficient, cost-effective manner

·     Develops governance framework, processes and tools 

·     Measures and monitors progress of all projects in the portfolio ensuring that risks and issues are reported up and that projects are delivered on time, within budget and that they meet or exceeds stakeholder's expectations

·     Builds and manages relationships and coordinates work between cross-functional teams

·     Through coordination with key stakeholders, ensures that all business requirements, project plans and formally defined scope changes are communicated to all affected team members and key stakeholders.

·     Interfaces and works effectively and proactively with all cross-functional groups including IT, operations, marketing, finance, and HR.

·     Demonstrates strong relationship building/partnering skills and the ability to work with varying levels of individual contributors and management.

·     Knowledge and usage of standard project management concepts, practices and procedures preferred but not required.

·     Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment with the ability to take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done.

·     Reports on key KPIs to senior leadership team members and other stakeholders

·     Implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies,

·     Works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.  


·     Ability to demonstrate a professional, mature, positive and self-confidence in accomplishing daily tasks.

·     Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team, both within and outside the department on a daily basis.

·     Flexibility and ability to work within a high growth, high stress, and fast paced environment with changing priorities.

·     Must possess ability to prioritize conflicting duties and meet established deadlines.

·     Strong computer skills required.

·     Must have initiative, strive for continuous improvement. 

·     Proven ability in implementing innovative ideas or business solutions.




·     Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

·     PMP certification a plus

·     Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.



·     Hospitality/Casino experience

·     Excellence in communication and customer-facing skills

·     Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills

·     Must possess excellent organizational, time management, judgment as well as strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

·     Completion of projects on time and within budget.

·     Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure.

·     Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended

·     AutoCAD, Access, Microsoft Project a plus
