Job Description

FUNCTION

The primary function of the Revenue Auditor II is to ensure all audit staff receives consistent training. The Revenue Auditor II is also tasked with reviewing and entering all revenue streams into control documents. Auditors will prepare necessary reports for all areas of gaming operations to satisfy both Company and regulatory requirements. Revenue Auditors demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations at all times.  Revenue Auditor will also present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for verifying the different revenue streams derived from gaming operations like Video Lottery Terminal Operations, Slot-Jackpots, Table Games, Food and Beverage, Marketing, Main Cage, ATM/TRU Machines and other revenue and documentation as generated by various departments.
  • Trains other auditors on new assignments.
  • Effectively communicates with management progress of Revenue Auditor’s training.
  • Issues exception reports for violations of company policies and procedures, Maryland Lottery regulations and Federal and State laws. 
  • Assists with the issue, retention, and transmittal of Audit Exceptions
  • Effectively communicates with other departments including upper management, regarding exceptions and other audit related issues.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, Maryland Lottery regulations and Federal and State laws. 
  • Creates, maintains, and adjusts complex Excel based spreadsheets as needed.
  • Audits the accuracy and issuance of various tax forms including W2G’s, 1099’s and 1042S’.
  • Assists with changes to checklists, procedures and training documents as necessary.
  • Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideal candidate should possess adequate Microsoft Office Skills including strong Excel, and Word.
  • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Candidate must be able to complete (2) of the following 3 audits: Main Bank, Slots, or Table Games Audits without assistance. Must complete training on 3rd audit within 1st 90 days in position as Auditor II. 
  • Must be able to manually calculate gaming revenue without the assistance of audit software.
  • Must be able to effectively train other auditors

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL

  • Able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting of 30 lbs. or more. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift and reach.  
  • Ability to work long and varied hours and on shifts, weekends, holidays and special events as needed. 
  • Must be able to read, speak and effectively communicate ideas in English. 
  • Must be able to think analytically, have basic math skills and be able to read and interpret spreadsheets. 
  • Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations.

WORK/EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 1 year Revenue Audit experience.
  • Must have prior gaming experience.
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Ideal candidate will process an Associate’s degree or higher with course work in accounting.
  • Must successfully complete Mentor Training Program.
  • Strong organizational, planning and communication and PC skills.
  • Knowledgeable in creating, maintaining and analyzing spread sheets or similar data reporting. 
  • Must be a team player. 
  • Minimum 21 years old, high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate gaming license required by the Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Agency.
